Use case / Appointments

Have an appointment booked for you.

Plenty of clinics, garages and salons still take bookings by phone only, and their lines are open exactly when you are at work. Your AI assistant makes the call and comes back with the appointment.

How it works

  1. Give the number and your preferred times. Tell your assistant who to call and when you are free. Two or three time windows help: it can then confirm on the spot instead of calling back a second time.
  2. The assistant places the call. It introduces itself as an AI calling on behalf of a person, explains what you need and asks for a slot inside your windows.
  3. The appointment lands in your chat. When the call ends you get a summary: the slot that was booked, or the alternatives that were offered.

The prompt for it

Copy it, fill in the square brackets, paste it into your AI chat. If wecallio is not connected yet, your assistant walks you through the setup first — it takes a minute or two.

Please call [practice name] on [phone number] and book me a check-up appointment. My name is [your name], date of birth [date]. Tuesday or Thursday after 3 pm works for me. Also ask what I need to bring.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI really book an appointment over the phone?

Yes. The assistant dials over a real telephone line, says at the start that it is an AI calling for a person, and gives your request and preferred times. Whether the other side wants to deal with an AI is their choice — if they decline, the assistant hangs up and you see that in the summary.

What does the assistant need from me?

The number, your name and what the appointment is for. Give it two or three time windows so it can confirm during the call.

What if nobody picks up?

The call ends without a result and the summary says so. Just ask your assistant to try again later.

Can it cancel an appointment too?

Yes, same routine: number, name and which appointment. Cancelling is often the call people put off longest.
